Dear Students, Dear Staff Members, Friends of the University Sports Center,
The staff of the University Sports Center welcome you to the University of Patras "House of Sports". Since the University Sports Center began to operate a few decades ago, and until today when the need for individual and mass sports proves to be more vital than ever before, University sports and training structures provide the opportunity for every member of the University community to pursue sporting activities in dynamic and creative ways.
In modern, newly-equipped facilities, the experienced University Sports Center staff (trainers, administrative and security personnel) offer their services on a daily basis and on weekends, with the aim to ensure safe and effective training for all university community members. The highly-qualified Physical Education teaching staff, all of whom are at the same time well-known federal coaches, international referees, recognized former athletes and distinguished researchers, along with the rest of the staff, are present at the University Sports Center on a daily basis to encourage and instruct trainees and to promote University sports and championships. This is also confirmed by student distinctions in many sporting competitions at national and international level over the past years.
We are waiting for you to join us so that you can take an alternative break from your daily educational and research activities. Use your free time in a creative way, setting new goals for the well-being and improvement of your body and mind, and be sure that in this way you share and convey to your environment the values and importance of lifetime sports.
